This felt almost like the hi-dive over a swimming pool, but really high. Notice you're looking at the tops of the trees. I believe that is Grouse Lake.

Looking back at Middle Velma. We camped about in the middle of the far shore. You can just see Fontanillis and Upper Velma behind it.

It was quiet a hike down the hill from the trail to Middle Velma Lake, but we had a nice camp site. Amy and I were tucked into this corner. We used the tent this night.

Climbing towards Gilmore Lake we took a rest near these two interesting trees. Tom reckoned both had been struck by lightning, causing the unusual split growth.

Looking back at Echo Lake. We boarded the boat at the far end and rode it to the close end before walking the rest of the way :-) This was an incredible view, but only one of many to come.
