The SUPER SPECIAL insider tour! This is the spectroscope instrument currently mounted on the bottom of the 120-inch reflector. It was DIM in there, so sorry about the photo quality.

In this view, looking up at the 120-inch reflector from below, we see one arm of the giant "fork" that holds it, and, on the right side, the powerful laser used to generate the "artificial star" for the cutting-edge adaptive optics technology.
I don't think that will help if the 100+ ton telescope falls on you...
We found this small structure that looks suspiciously like an outhouse with a spectacular view. Best guess is a weather observing station. Notice that the roof is glass.
